Custom Porcelain Slab Showers
One of the most popular uses of porcelain slabs is in showers. It is easy to see why as it eliminates the most common complaint about tile showers. No Grout! And in some cases, we can eliminate the need for silicone. With porcelain slabs you get a truly beautiful appearance with a product that is easy to maintain and clean.
Slab size should be a key thought when designing the size and layout of your shower. If you select a slab that is too small, you may be required to add a joint. However, you must also consider accessibility with your project. We need to be able to carry the pieces in to get them installed.
1
Flatten
One of the most important steps to any porcelain slab shower is getting the walls flat. We require 1/8" variance in flatness over 10-feet. If the job does not meet these standards it must be corrected. We use a special process that is effective and affordable to get your wall area in compliance. If your wall is not flattened, then your installation will not be properly bonded due to potential voids behind the panels.
2
Waterproof
Once the walls have been flattened, we waterproof your shower using products that we believe in and are respected in the industry. These products have perm ratings, or the measured rating for allowing water vapor to pass, at near zero. This means that your shower will be protected from leaks, mold growth, and other negatives that can cause your investment to be destroyed. These products come with amazing warranties from the manufacturers and our team.
3
Install
Now that we have waterproofed, we can take measurements to fabricate your shower walls. Depending on the complexity, size, and location of your project, we will either fabricate onsite or digitally measure for production at our facility using CNC equipment. We try to install each and every project in a timely fashion, so dont worry, you will not be waiting weeks for completion. Most times, we can install a standard shower in a day. The most important fact about our installations is that we follow ANSI (American National Standards Institute) rules for correct installation of porcelain slabs. No shortcuts, nothing missing. our installs are done right to last you a long time.

Glass and Delivery
The easy part is always final clean and handover for shower glass. Due to the nature of thinset mortar, we need to allow time for the panels to dry and cure over night. This means on our last day we will clean any mortar residue and apply silicone as necessary.
